A Wes Anderson Inspired Wedding Film

Whether you’ve enjoyed his films since Bottle Rocket, have only seen his animated Fantastic Mr Fox, or recently watched his latest masterpiece The Grand Budapest Hotel, you know that Wes Anderson has a very distinct look in his movies. I’ve always found his work inspiring. The camera movements, the music, the character interaction, the childlike innocence of the stories. It’s all pretty amazing. So of course when we showed up to shoot this awesome wedding after watching one of his movies, I couldn’t resist to film it like the man himself, Mr. Wesley Wales Anderson! What’s more inspiring than all that, though, is how crazy in love these two are. See for yourself!

Trailer VS Feature Film

Over the years, we’ve been to a lot of weddings. Probably like bipteen thousand. We thought we had them figured out, but what we started to realize was that no two were the same. Now, don’t get me wrong. We knew we were going to show up, the ladies would be getting hair and makeup done for hours with a wedding playlist that a bridesmaid put together on Spotify from their iPhone, the guys were going to show up moments before pictures with their shades on and a Bud Light in their hands, the ceremony was going to last 33.5 minutes long, and then we were going to hit up the potato bar and/or candy bar at the reception in between first dance/cake/bouquet/garter/fake leave. But as easy as it’d be to make cookie cutter wedding videos, we have this need as filmmakers to dig a little deeper and tell a story. Not about a wedding day, but about two people in love. A quirky family. A band of crazy, loyal friends. Tradition, inside jokes, and adventures. So that’s what we’ve set out to find!

Okay, you want to know about the packages we offer. The Trailer and The Feature Film. I won’t go in to the details of what comes with each one right here (how many cinematographers, packaging, etc), but I’ll explain the difference between the two. The Trailer is a highlight reel of the wedding day. It’s all the most glorious moments wrapped up in the perfect song. Kind of like pigs-in-a-blanket. Who doesn’t love pigs-in-a-blanket? The Trailer is perfect for everyone! It’s essential. Even for the simple, traditional wedding. Everyone needs a Trailer! The Feature Film on the other hand is where you really get to tell a story. You get the details, the personality, the conversations, and the backstory. And like any great story, it has a beginning, middle, and end… and a Trailer!

If you’re interested in us filming your wedding and putting together a highlight reel, great! Give us a shout. Let’s get coffee. Maybe some pigs-in-a-blanket. We’d love to get to know you and get you the details on our Trailer package. If you’re trying to go all the way with a Feature Film, do us a favor and send us an email with the questionnaire below. This helps us a lot with pre-production and putting info together to make your wedding film dreams come true. We can’t wait to hear from you!
